Supervised Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valve
Meets the supervision requirement for NFPA 13: Sec. 8.3.1.2.1

Unveiled at the 2019 Intersec show in Dubai, TLX Technologies’ supervised pilot-operated solenoid valve has been designed to meet the supervision requirement in the 2019 edition of NFPA 13: Sec. 8.3.1.2.1 that goes into effect January 1, 2021.

TLX’s solenoid valve designed specifically for pre-action and deluge systems includes a patented, internal supervisory mechanism that allows for standard removal of the coil for testing with indication that the solenoid coil has been properly installed every time. Integration of the supervision mechanism removes the need for any additional components, connections and wire paths; resulting in a streamlined, NFPA compliant solution.

The supervised pilot-operated solenoid valve comes standard with six wires. Two wires are used for activation and four are used for supervision of both the coil placement as well as connection to the fire panel. Factory-installed wire leads fed through an integrated conduit port in the housing have been added to comply with UL and NFPA wire codes. Customizable interface options to meet your system requirements.

In addition, the TLX valve includes a non-removeable fastening device which eliminates potential misplacement during testing and ensures proper refastening of the solenoid coil.
